Waffle Breakfast Stack

Yield: 1 Serving

INGREDIENTS

For the waffle:

  • 6 oz. of Golden Waffles Complete Waffle & Pancake Batter, prepared
  • Golden Waffles large waffle iron plate

For the sausage patty:

  • 2 sausage patties

For the scrambled eggs:

  • 1 Tbsp. butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 Cup cheddar cheese, shredded

PREPARATION

Add 6 oz. of prepared Golden Waffles Complete Waffle & Pancake Mix to a preheated waffle iron sprayed with Golden Waffles Easy Release Waffle Iron Spray. Bake for 2 minutes and 30 seconds or until waffle iron beeps.

Cook sausage patties on flat top or in oven until internal temperature reaches 160 F. Reserve warm sausage until service.

For the scrambled eggs, heat butter in a non-stick pan or on a flat top grill. Add eggs to pan and cook over low/medium heat, stirring continuously. When curds start to form, add half of the cheese and continue to cook until scrambled soft. Remove from heat and top with remaining cheese, place under broiler until cheese melts, plate immediately.

To assemble:

  • 1 large waffle
  • 2 sausage patties
  • 2 scrambled eggs with cheese
  • Maple syrup, as needed
  • 1/2 Cup of cut strawberries

Cut waffle into two equal halves, place one piece on a warm plate. Top waffle with sausage patties, then cheesy scrambled eggs and second waffle half. Hold stack together with a large sandwich pick. Garnish with syrup cup, and cut berries on the side.
