INGREDIENTS
Waffles (8 each):
- Using Golden Waffles Original Waffle and Pancake Mix follow the mixing instructions for waffles.
- Golden Waffles large waffle iron plate.
For the ham and cheese:
- 8 oz. Virginia ham, thinly sliced
- 4 oz, of cheese sauce, prepared
- 6 oz. sharp cheddar
- 1/4 Cup green onion
PREPARATION
Add 6 oz. of prepared Golden Waffles Original Waffle & Pancake Mix to a preheated waffle iron sprayed with Golden Waffles Easy Release Waffle Iron Spray. Bake for 2 minutes and 30 seconds or until waffle iron beeps.
Cut waffles into quarters and place on a sprayed sheet pan. Top each waffle quarter with 1 1/2 oz. of ham, 1 Tbsp. of cheese sauce and 1 oz. of cheddar. Place the pan of waffles in the oven or under the broiler until cheese is melted. Remove from oven and garnish with the green onions.
Stack the ham and cheese waffles (2 per order) on a plate and top with remaining waffle quarters. Secure waffle stacks with long skewers. Add maple syrup on the side for dipping.
