Stuffed Cheddar Bacon Waffle

Yield: 1 Serving

INGREDIENTS

For the waffle:

  • 6 oz. of Golden Waffles Complete Waffle & Pancake Batter, prepared
  • 1 Tbsp. thinly sliced green onions
  • 1 oz. extra sharp, shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. crispy bacon crumbles
  • Tabasco or hot sauce to taste

For garnish and plating:

  • 1 oz. extra sharp, shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. crispy bacon crumbles
  • 1 Tbsp. thinly sliced green onions
  • 2 fl. oz. maple syrup
  • Tabasco or hot sauce to taste

PREPARATION

Combine green onions, cheddar cheese, bacon crumbles and hot sauce in a mixing bowl and stir together. Add 6 oz. of prepared Golden Waffles Complete Waffle & Pancake Mix to the rest of the ingredients. Spray a preheated waffle iron with Golden Waffles Easy Release Waffle Iron Spray. Add stuffed batter mixture to the waffle iron and bake for 2 minutes and 30 seconds or until waffle iron beeps.

Remove stuffed waffle from the iron and place on an oven proof plate. Garnish the top of the waffle with cheddar cheese and bacon crumbles and place under the broiler until cheese is melted.

Top finished waffle on a warm plate and garnish with green onions. Serve with maple syrup and hot sauce on the side.
